HARD Motorsport - BMW E36 Coupe Widebody Overfender FULL KIT
The HARD Motorsport E36 coupe widebody Overfenders are a clean, ready-to-go option, which will allow you to run wider wheel and tires without spoiling the classis body lines and classis shape of the E36 Coupe’.
Aprox 30mm wider
Although the overfender tends to nest to the factory body, the wheel arches get wide where you need it. The flares taper around the wheel arch, so "width" is not the same around the entire arch. Widest point may not be the "top" of the wheel arch, but instead, where tire conatct is most likely.
We used factory BMW E46 330 fenders to create the shape and profile of our flares to maintain that distinctive factory look. The HARD Motorsport Front and Rear Quarter Over Fenders are specially designed to allow you to keep your factory BMW moldings intact and to retain the classic, factory look of your car. Molding clips and grommets can be used to affix the molding, but you may opt for somthing a bit stronger if necessary due to extreme vibration and movement during track use. A nose panel section is designed to bring the leading edge of the front wheel arch together with the factory corner lamp area in a smooth transition that gives a bit more room up front for steering angle without interference.
We highly recommend installation of the panels, to allow for test fitment of wheel and tire combinations. There is just no size fits all when it comes to your set-up. See info below to get some ideas.
Fit/Finish: Parts provided are UNFINISHED. Some scratching or marring of the surface is to be expected and not unusual. Manufactured from thermoformed ABS plastic, so they won't easily break like fiberglass versions. The HARD Motorsport's Fender Flares can be prepped and painted to match, so you have options. We molded in the shape of the original fuel filler opening so the oem filler door may be spaced out to fit flush with the panel. This eliminates that “soapdish” look of other overfender kits and leaves you with a clean body line.
Some surface irregularities occur due to the composition of the raw materials which can vary. These can be easily sanded out during the prep and finish process. A finish is highly recommended to protect the raw ABS from UV exposure.

The ABS thermoformed parts are easily modified for fitment and customization. Although these were made specifically for this chassis, some trimming and adjustment to the parts is needed for the final fitment for desired results
Installation is fairly straightforward. These are functional Overfenders, so cutting of the factory rear quarter is necessary to run larger, wider wheels and tires. Modification to the inner rear quarter liner is up to you. We recommend sealing of the rear inner rear quarter to seal the trunk/cabin from the exterior wheel well. These mount OVER your modified stock sheetmetal. These are not OEM-like replacements.
Fitment: E36 M3 and non-M coupes. These Overfenders are made to accommodate the wider motorsport side moldings. They are sized to fit just to the “inside” the edges of the factory fenders with apx 1/8” spacing gap.

- Trimming of the side molding recess is required. These are left on during shipping to maintain shape and prevent damage.

- Trimming of "lip" along the flare edge may be necessary for some wheel/tire fitment.
WHEEL/TIRE: We run up to 285/30/18 rubber on 18x10 et25 wheels on both the front and rear on our E36 for track days or autocross sessions. Common set up is 18x9.5 et35 with 265/35 on a coilover suspension. Spacers may be needed to for front tire clearance.
**We have run this wheel/tire combo as listed above on our house-car with proven results. We cannot confirm fitment of other wheel/tire combinations that we have not tested. Fine tuning and suspension adjustment may be necessary. It is nearly impossible to determine compatibility with the endless variety of suspension, wheel, and tire combinations that are possible. We'll give you the extra room, the rest is up to you!
